As a portfolio piece, this project was the perfect chance for me to express my preferences in style, aesthetics, and even purpose behind graphic design work. In doing so, the poster campaign for the 2023 Met Gala, an event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was my choice to reflect the gala's high fashion essence and informative nature in a chic design sense of my own. The concept capitalized on the gala's custom of disclosing guests for that one night, resulting in a distinctive depiction of models with their heads creatively chopped, signifying the mysterious appeal of the guest list. The creation of these posters was primarily focused on beauty and clarity. We selected a modern sans serif font to go with the elegant theme of the Met Gala. The event name is shown prominently over the picture of a model in the layout, along with the theme "Karl Lagerfeld" in a classy italic and the most important event details in eye-catching, strong typeface. In keeping with the themes of secrecy and exclusivity, the campaign also included custom box invites for gala attendees. An invitation for Kylie Jenner, for instance, would have her face shown on the box top in a manner matching the posters, with the name and topic of the event customized. To further strengthen the thematic link and give the invitees a personalized touch, the box also contained products with the Karl Lagerfeld logo. To create a unified and captivating campaign for one of fashion's most anticipated nights, this design project sought to represent the Met Gala's combination of mystery and elegance via both the visually arresting posters and the distinctive and individualized invitation boxes.
